kym ng's first on screen kiss (with adrian pang).
adrian pang's first time in a mustache on screen.
90% of gone shopping was shot indoors, in the air-conditioned comfort of shopping centres - an ideal shooting situation for singapore's weather.
gone shopping was shot in more than 30 locations, including several shopping centres such as: mustafa, tangs (orchard & vivocity), paragon, orchard road, outside takashimaya, marina square, shaw rooftop garden. most of the locations have never been filmed before.
gone shopping was shot in 31 days. 2 days in dec 2005 (for the teasers), 4 days in sept 2006, 25 days between jan 2007 to apr 2007, 1 day in may (pick-up).
sonya nair, who plays renu, grew 2 inches from the start of filming in sept 2006, to the 2nd round of shoot in jan 2007. because of this, some of her wardrobe seemed shorter in some scenes. (try spotting this in the movie!)
sonya nair, who plays renu in the movie, had a loose tooth during principal photography. it eventually fell out towards the end of the shoot...but the director managed to film her without her mouth open on those last days of shoot.
aaron kao, who plays aaron in the movie, took up sword lessons to prepare for one of the scenes (teaser).
the lolita girls in the movie are real lolitas! (except for one...guess which one?)
there were three sets of kym's yellow silk chiffon dress (as seen in the poster) in the film. one was a 'stunt' dress that was torn and used in a fight scene. one was her regular one which she wore for majority of the movie, and a spare one. (go to ebay.com.sg/charity to bid for kym's dresses if you like them!)
